Several families, a group of friends or that big family weekend: sometimes only the whole house will do. Then Haus Astenalm is all yours – with 7 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, your own sauna and plenty of space inside and out.
You cater for yourselves and set your own pace: breakfast together in the big kitchen, slopes or hiking trails during the day, and evenings all together by the fireplace. The mountains? They start right outside the front door.
Settle in by the fireplace
The heart of the house is the large living room with its open fireplace – the wooden beam above it is dated 1814. This is where you gather in the evening: games night, a glass of wine, stories from the day.
The fully equipped kitchen is right next door, with enough space and tableware to cook for the whole group with ease.

The large, fully equipped guest kitchen – with its historic enamel stove as centrepiece, a modern cooker, dishwasher and plenty of crockery – makes cooking for the whole group easy.
From breakfast for everyone to a three-course dinner: there's room enough.
A garden for every season
In summer the big garden is yours: barbecues, long evenings outside and plenty of room for the kids to play – with views of the Rothaar Mountains.
In winter it turns into a snowy playground: building snowmen, sledging, snowball fights – the kids will know exactly what to do.
Your own sauna
After an active day in the fresh mountain air, warm up your muscles in the house's own sauna and let the day wind down.
The relaxation area invites you to switch off – wellness without appointments, as often as you like.
Skis on, straight out
The snow-sure, family-friendly Postwiese ski area is just about 200 metres away – simply cross the road in the morning, click into your bindings and off you go.
The Skiliftkarussell Winterberg with over 27 km of slopes is just a few minutes away – the free ski bus stops nearby every 15 minutes.
